4. Nature of Services – Not Medical or Mental Health Treatment

4.1 Coaching vs. Therapy

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Maitriama provides life coaching and spiritual guidance services. Our Services are NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, mental health treatment, psychotherapy, or counseling.

Life coaching:

  • Focuses on personal growth, goal-setting, and future-oriented development

  • Is not regulated in the same manner as licensed mental health professionals

5. Account Registration and Security

7.3 Delivery

8. Life Coaching Services

8.1 Booking and Scheduling

To book a coaching session:

  • Select an available time slot through our scheduling system
  • Complete payment before the session
  • Provide any requested intake information

8.2 Session Format

Sessions are conducted via:

  • Video conferencing (Zoom, Google Meet, or other platforms)
  • Phone calls (if agreed upon)
  • Other methods as mutually agreed

You are responsible for:

  • Having a stable internet connection and working equipment
  • Being in a private, quiet space for sessions
  • Being punctual and present for scheduled appointments

8.3 Late Arrivals

If you arrive late to a session:

  • The session will end at the originally scheduled time (not extended)
  • You will be charged the full session fee
  • Habitual lateness may result in cancellation of services

8.4 Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Summary:

  • 24+ hours notice: Full refund or free rescheduling
  • Less than 24 hours notice: $20 cancellation fee applied
  • No-shows: No refund provided

8.5 Coaching Packages

If you purchase a multi-session package:

  • Sessions must be used within 60 days from purchase date
  • Unused sessions expire after this period with no refund
  • Packages are non-transferable to other individuals

8.6 Client Participation

Coaching requires your active engagement. You agree to:

  • Be honest and open during sessions
  • Complete any agreed-upon homework or exercises
  • Take responsibility for implementing insights and actions
  • Communicate openly about what is and isn’t working

8.7 Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality regarding information shared during coaching sessions, except:

  • When required by law (e.g., court orders, legal obligations)
  • If there is imminent danger to yourself or others
  • If you provide written consent to share information
  • For supervision or professional consultation (with identifying details removed)

8.8 Recording Sessions

Sessions may only be recorded with explicit written consent from both parties. Unauthorized recording is prohibited and may result in immediate termination of services.

9. Refund and Returns Policy

Summary:

  • Digital Products: No refunds after download; exchanges available within 7 days before access
  • Coaching Services: Full refund if cancelled 24+ hours in advance; $20 fee for late cancellations

10. Intellectual Property Rights

10.1 Ownership

All content on the Website and within our Services, including but not limited to:

  • Text, graphics, logos, images, videos, audio
  • Digital products, guided journals, worksheets
  • Website design, layout, and functionality
  • Trademarks, service marks, and trade names

are the exclusive property of Maitriama or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10.2 Trademarks

“Maitriama” and all related logos, product names, and service names are trademarks of Maitriama. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.

10.3 User Content

If you submit content to us (testimonials, feedback, comments, suggestions):

  • You grant Maitriama a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content
  • You represent that you own or have rights to the content
  • You waive any moral rights in the content

We do not guarantee or warrant that:

  • You will achieve particular results or outcomes from coaching
  • Digital products will solve specific problems

Personal growth and transformation require individual effort and circumstances vary.

12.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
